Radio El Amane is a community radio in the suburbs of Marrakech and part of the association El Amane. 

In 2018, I was asked by a friend who has worked in Swiss radio to help build a community radio for women in the outskirts of Marrakech and lay the foundations for its editorial team. 
It became a long process as each time I went, there were new participants in the workshops because while time passed, those who had attended the previous ones had either found new jobs or - unfortunately - had been banned from going back by their husbands. 
It took time and a year and a half interruption caused by the pandemic, but finally in November 2021 we finalized the radio with the minimum technical equipment to record and edit programmes, broadcast live and most importantly of all, created a small but proud editorial core. The radio project now needs to find its own way but I’ll be in contact with them to help out or offer my advice. We installed a system where I can access the computer from anywhere as long as I have internet, in order to solve technical issues. And as it happens now and them, someone presses the wrong buttons or turns the wron knob and so we have to go over the setup using whatsapp video. 

I’m looking forward to hearing female success stories, made of past difficult experiences and resilience and hope for the future. 

Keep Fit With Radio

Keep Fit With Radio is a youth and festival radio which takes place every year at the FIT - Festival internazionale del teatro e della scena contemporanea in Lugano, Switzerland. 

An editorial group of young students between 14 and 20 years old broadcast from the festival’s bar every day to tell about the shows they have seen, broadcast interviews and select the winner of the Young&Kids prize.
